Getting active

Khao Yai is the home of the natural sites with the UNESCO’s World Heritage status adjacent to Khao Yai National Park, Thailand’s first national park which lies largely in Nakhonratchasima Province.  There are many activities you can enjoy and experience while staying at Mountain Lodge Khao Yai including rafting, golfing, trekking and horse riding. Khao Yai is also a wine region and there are many famous wineries and vineyards where you can taste good locally produced wine.

We would like to recommend some of the activities that you can enjoy.  Our resident butlers will be on hand to assist you with all of the arrangement.

• Khao Yai National Park Visit

Khao Yai is always a favourite for those who are truly in need of a place where they can really get back to nature.  The most popular time to visit is during the cool season or from October to February.  In the rainy season, the area is refreshingly green with overflowing waterfalls, sending echoes all around.

The park is comprised of mixed forests and rainforests with some wide plains and grasslands interspersed with verdant forests.  There are many valuable plants, including commercial plants, scented plants and herbs.  In addition, there are several mountains with peaks ranging from 800 to 3,000 meters above sea level making Khao Yai a cool climate area and a must visit even in summer.

Admission fee: Adult 400 Baht and child 200 Baht.  The fee of one car is 50 Baht.

• Rafting on Kang Hin Phoeng

Kang Hin Phoeng is a stretch of river in Khao Yai National Park noted for its wild beauty.  The water is especially challenging in the rainy season months of June to October and it is a favourite place for whitewater rafting.  The passage along this stretch of the river will take three hours or more.

• Trekking at Khao Yai

Although various points of interest at Khao Yai can be easily accessed by car, but some might chose the more adventurous path for trekking.  There are half day hike and full day hike available for you and your guests to experience.

• Golfing

There are 7 to 8 golf courses in Khao Yai and you can check with your resident butlers for the tee off time as well as the packages available.

• Visit wineries

There are three recommended wineries where you can taste good locally produced wine or getting active by taking a tour at one of the vineyards.

There will be additional fees for tours, transportations and other arrangement, please contact our sales and reservation office for advance request or your resident butlers whilst in residence.
